Fun Fall Fotos from DINE country

If you follow Distinctive Inns of New England on Facebook, you may have seen some of the gorgeous fall foliage photos posted this week.  We’re going to share some additional photos here.  Get ready to be psyched for your next New England fall getaway.  You’ll be planning a romantic escape to DINE country after seeing what’s in store this season.

Many people are commenting that the foliage in Northern New England is more spectacular than they’ve ever seen.  This is due to the combination of a mild summer with enough rain to keep trees healthy and good fall weather too.  Last year at this time, all of New England was cleaning up after Hurricane Irene, which devastated trees in its path.  This year, the sun shone throughout September offering plenty of gorgeous backdrops for picture taking.  Columbus Day weekend is the traditional peak of fall foliage in Northern New England, and this year is no exception.  If you can’t make your leaf peeping trip this weekend, fear not.  Fall foliage continues in Southern New England through the end of October.

Here’s a glimpse into what you’ll find during your next New England autumn vacation. We hope you will choose from one of 11 DINE member inns, as each offers the opportunity for the perfect romantic escape. Look for peak foliage in Northern parts of DINE country this weekend and next week.
