We’re not quite to fall color yet, but before you know it, peak color will highlight your getaway to DINE country, and the sooner you make your reservation, the better your chances of getting the room you want. Fall color has just begun to appear in the Northern stretches of New England, and by the end of the month, you’ll see plenty of color appearing when visiting the Grafton Inn, Rabbit Hill Inn, Camden Maine Stay Inn, Inn at Thorn Hill, Chesterfield Inn and Manor on Golden Pond. Stretch out your fall foliage getaway to a little later in October, and you’ll find the color in the southern reaches of DINE country while visiting Cliffside Inn in Newport, Captain’s House Inn in Chatham, Cape Cod and Inn at Harbor Hill Marina in Niantic, CT. Visit the Berkshires any time in October and you’ll be wow’d with the beautiful foliage when you escape to the Deerfield Inn or Gateways Inn & Restaurant. You can’t go wrong with a romantic fall getaway to any of the 11 Distinctive Inns of New England, resplendent in color and crisp autumn freshness. With fireplaces crackling and warm blankets ready, snuggling is encouraged.
Just in case you’re not convinced yet, here are a few glimpses of what’s in store when you visit DINE country this fall. All photos were taken last year, but predictions for brilliant foliage this year promise this kind of color, if not better!
Let’s start in Vermont where fall colors will soon be popping at the Grafton Inn.
And the roads surrounding Rabbit Hill Inn will soon be filled with Mother Nature’s spendor.
Next on to the Berkshires where we hear guests staying at the Gateways Inn & Restaurant enjoy picking out pumpkins at nearby farmers markets and farm stands.
The foliage surrounding Squam Lake will simply awe you. Don’t forget to bring the camera when you visit Manor on Golden Pond!
You’ll find pumpkins lining the entry way at Cliffside Inn, and a very friendly mascot and his equally friendly owners to welcome you to fall in Newport!
And while some don’t think of Cape Cod as a foliage destination, fall getaways to the Captain’s House Inn are filled with harvest hues.
For more fall photos, scroll down to last week’s blog posting, where we explored all the different ways to peep a leaf while visiting the 11 Distinctive Inns of New England. We know we’ve said it before, but consult the DINE availability calendar then book your fall getaway soon and “hail to the leaf” on your next visit!
