June blooms in DINE country

Pansies welcome guests to the Camden Maine Stay Inn.June is busting out all over in gardens, fields and areas surrounding the 11 Distinctive Inns of New England (DINE).  Despite a chilly and somewhat gloomy few weeks, spring is coming to New England and bringing beautiful color to cheer the minds and souls of travelers.  April and May’s abundant showers have delivered June flowers throughout DINE country, and now we want to offer our readers an armchair tour of what they’ll see in on their next romantic getaway to their favorite DINE inn.

We have so many great photos to show you that we’ll start in the southern New England inns and then work our way North in future blog postings.

Spring has come to Cape Cod, and Chatham’s Captain’s House Inn. Colors abound with everything from purples to pinks dotting gardens, surrounding gazebos and lining driveways and walkways. (Photos courtesy of Captain’s House Inn.)

Our final coastal New England inn garden photos come from Camden, Maine where the Camden Maine Stay Inn’s extensive gardens are just beginning their season.  In a part of New England where spring lasts a little longer, the Lily of the Valley, flowering crab apple trees, bleeding heart, and other spring flowers are just now in full bloom.
