Oh my gourd! Mum’s the word. Amazing fall color at New England Inns

Fall is the season of color for Distinctive Inns of New England (DINE) and many say this is one of the most brilliant fall foliage seasons in memory.  Prior to the big N’oreaster that hit New England this week, there hadn’t been many wind events and trees were lush with color.  Of course even after Mother Nature stripped some of the leaves from trees with the recent storm, the color is still brilliant in Northern New England.  Leaves are just beginning to turn at the DINE inns in the Southern part of New England, but there’s no lack of color from the mums, pumpkins and other decor. This is the ideal time for those seeking a romantic getaway to a welcoming New England inn.

We know that not everyone can take a trip to see all the foliage, so we thought today’s blog would bring fall color to you, compliments of the 11 inns in DINE country. Sit back and take a leaf, mum, gourd and pumpkin-peeping trip with us through New England’s beautiful fall foliage.

Starting in Northern New England, we visit the Grafton Inn, offering not only color but a beautiful bucholic New England setting.

Moving on to Massachusetts, and speaking of mums, the Harbor Light Inn’s color comes in the form of orange mums plus the red, white and blue of our country to welcome  guests entering their front door.
