Twas the holiday season and all through the distinctive inns
The innkeepers were stirring, sweeping and mixing the gin (and tonics)
The guests were all nestled all snug in the parlors and rooms.
And at dining room tables enjoying desserts with prunes!
With Leslie in her sweater and Brian in his cap.
DINE innkeepers welcomed guests from all over the map!
Then what to their wondering eyes should appear.
But Santa telling the innkeepers a vacation was here.
“But no!” said the innkeepers we must stay here.
To offer our guests a welcome and good cheer.
“Now housekeepers, wait staff and cooks come near.
We can’t go away we’ve got guests that are dear.”
“To the kitchens and laundries, offices and halls
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!”
Their eyes with a twinkle went hither and yon
To tend to their guests – Betty, Rachel and John
Then with a twist of their heads and a wink of their eyes
Those DINE innkeepers went about saying Hi! Hi!
And breakfast they served then ideas for the day
They smiled as their guests left and some even stayed.
Thinking of how much they appreciate each guest
The DINE innkeepers sat down for a 5-minute rest
And as guests went to cars and drove away for the day
Their innkeepers said Merry Christmas, have fun and go play!
