If your travel mate needs further convincing, here are five great reasons to spend your next getaway in DINE country.

Yankee Magazine’s fall foliage predictor forecasts brilliant fall foliage

According to the New England Fall Foliage Forecast 2022 autumn’s color shows potential for being spectacular.  In terms of timing, Yankee’s foliage experts predict, “the foliage will be on time across far northern New England, but it will trend later than normal the farther south you go. The wave of peak color will start in late September as usual; after that, its southerly progression may slow or stall, leading to foliage color lingering into November in  southern New England.“

This prediction bodes well for travelers. Extending the autumn foliage season into November in the southern parts of New England offers the chance to visit more than one DINE inn this fall.  Schedule a getaway in Vermont, New Hampshire, Marblehead, Kennebunkport or Historic Deerfield first, then plan your next colorful getaway to Niantic or Chatham for the later part of the fall.

Pick your place – from beaches to lakes to mountain vistas

Map of DINE locationsThe beauty of the Distinctive Inns of New England is their geographic diversity.  No two inns are more than a half day’s drive from one another, but within the group you have the choice of mountains, lakes, beach or harbor getaways. Pick your pleasure – pumpkins, apples, zip lines, quiet lakeside or beach chats.  Your getaway can be as relaxing as rocking on porches or as active as hiking to the top of the mountain.  There is such variety among the nine DINE inns for landscapes, village experiences, activities and menus.

To encourage guests to try them all, DINE inns offer a special incentive to visit another member inn.  Ask your innkeeper about the $50 DINE rewards certificate when you check out.

Time to snuggle under cozy comforters

The only thing you have to get up for during your DINE escape is that delicious hand crafted breakfast.

Fall fare is on the menu
