December 30th: A special ‘high tea’ will be served 3:00 – 5:00 pm. To set the mood, begin with a glass of sherry, then indulge with delicate sandwiches, savory pastries, miniature trifles, tea cookies, and melt-in-your-mouth cake.
December 31st: Tea will not be served today, but an ice-cream sundae bar will be available in the library lounge, and tea or coffee will be served on request.
From 5:00 to 7:00 pm, innkeepers Jill and James invite you to join them for a glass of wine or champagne and our informal buffet supper. Drop in between visiting events in town and enjoy everything from hors d’oeuvres and light supper selections to delectable desserts. Chatham’s First Night celebration ends at midnight with fireworks at Oyster Pond. Return to the inn for a mug of hot chocolate or cider before retiring to bed.
January 1st: As always, coffee will be served in rooms from 7:15 to 9 am, but breakfast service is extended from 8:30 am till 11 am, complete with Bloody Marys and mimosas. Relax by your fireplace, watch football, read a book, or take a winter beach walk. Our fireside lunches are a great way to start the New Year!
